Money always impacts every political race. I'm sure this will have an impact on the SC 1 Congressional race. The candidate will be "on his own" to win or lose the race when he has to defend the seat. I am sure a former Governor will be able to raise lots of money, so it may not impact him as much as it would someone else who is not as prominent. It will however, in my opinion, have a tremendous influence on what he will be able to do. With less money, he won't be able to purchase ads as much as he might like and that is very important for him to rebuild his image. Now the negative media coverage will be the voice that many will be hearing and he will not have as much opportunity to counter that. It's a shame. Now the Democrat may have a much better shot at winning the seat. People will start to question Sanford's judgement and rightfully so. He has made some very poor decisions of late and his character has definitely become questionable to many who trusted him before.
