I believe Planned Parenthood is responsible for the increase in abortions at taxpayer expense. Like so many governmental programs, it has changed from what President Richard Nixon intended when it was implemented in his administration and has gone far beyond its limits. Time to get rid of it altogether.

I have not seen the list of those who voted against the current Speaker of the House. However, I imagine they were the conservatives who were upset that he agreed to raise taxes, something Republicans have promised not to do.

You know, I wish the Republicans had packed up and gone home the other day and just said, "You Democrats are in control." Let the Democrats shoulder ALL of the blame for this "Road to Greece" that Obama and his liberal friends are driving us down.

My resolution for the New Year is to find a few liberals and convert them to conservatism. If we all resolved to do this, we could take care of a myriad of problems in our country.

Honestly, the most embarrassing media moment to me was when Barack Obama was re-elected. If you read the newspapers from other countries, you will know that they are laughing at us, perhaps at our ignorance in choosing a leader whose philosophy undermines all America has stood for or has been in the past.

I am not sure this says anything particular about the current administration. It does, however, speak to the overall human condition as we have digressed from gold to clay. When God is removed from a culture, as He has been in America, then what more can we expect?
