Nancy FarleyAs frightening as it is, I am afraid that the Democrats are lying about the coverage for older people-------no treatment after a certain age.   "Just keep Grandma comfortable and let her die."

You know, my mother used to say that living to 75 would be a blessing, good enough, and that she would be ready to move on after that age.  Funny, but at age 75 she was alert and still driving----a vibrant lady.  She was even doing well at age 80, and ended up living to be 91 years old.  Now, when she got that disease which required surgery when she was 76, I am glad some government  panel did not decide that she had already lived long enough and did not deserve the costly treatment.  So, to answer Dr. Jeffrey's question, "I believe this is what lies ahead for us under Obamacare."
If the president  were the leader he should be, he would look at the harm this whole thing has caused, have the strength to admit it, and tell the American people they are responsible for themselves------they can "keep their own insurance" and live their lives without government interference. For most of us, we did not need to fix that which was "not broken."  Why couldn't  he have come up with another solution-----find young people who want to be physicians, allow the government to pay their way through medical school in return for a promise that they offer medical care to the truly needy for the next five years after they graduate?  Surely that would make more sense than what we have now.
