Like so many, these men are learning that the United States is becoming a nation of empty promises, a country whose standing in the world is greatly diminished as others realize they can no longer trust us.  We have continually lost world respect since that fateful day in November, 2008, when  voters swallowed what has turned out to be the greatest "empty promise" in American history.
