This Administration has way overstepped it's bounds. It's probably not so much the act itself of the collecting phone data but the mistrust that we have in our government. I listened to some very credible people today say that this was not such a bad thing and that they were only looking for patterns. This may be true. But since this administration has targeted citizens through a number of agencies, not just the IRS, we don't trust that they won't abuse the authority they have been given. We don't trust that they won't start targeting us in all of our communications and using the information gathered to punish the enemies of the President. If they would do it at the IRS, why wouldn't they do it at the NSA, Homeland Security and any other organization that they deemed beneficial.
