It is much easier to convince 9 judges in black robes to vote a certain way than it is to persuade millions of people to vote to make such drastic changes. In 41 states citizens have voted to define marriage as between one man and one woman. Every time the citizens have an opportunity to define marriage in the traditional way, they do so overwhelmingly. Judges often times overturn the will of the people and have eroded the rights of states and local municipalities to govern themselves. Liberals never give up. When they can't win through a vote of the people, they turn to the courts to overturn the desires of the electorate. If the Supreme Court overturns the laws defining marriage, there will be no reason for the people to have local governments or to even have elections for that matter. Perhaps we should just defer to the Supreme Court for all decisions. This will be tantamount to tyranny by the courts and will be a monstrous overstep by the court.

As far as the affirmative action case is concerned, it's about time that these laws are being revisited. It is time for all people to be judged equally with the same opportunities and responsibilities. Judging someone by the color of their skin has always been wrong. and it is still wrong. Even though the colors have changed, it is still an unfair and un-American concept.
