I applaud Sen. Paul's efforts. The administration, contrary to claims, had never answered the question as to whether the President had the authority to murder American citizens, suspected of terrorist activities, without due process. In fact, Eric Holder had indicated, during testimony, that the President did, in fact, have such authority. After the filibuster, Holder very quickly responded with his 3 sentence answer. No, the president does not have this authority. Mission Accomplished. I find it upsetting that Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham have been so critical of this action. Sen. McCain went so far as to call the few senators, involved in the filibuster, "wacko birds." This shows Sen, McCain, in my opinion, to be very unaware of the concerns of the American people and of the intent of Sen. Rand's filibuster. I have searched far and wide and can find no reference of Sen. McCain using such language to define Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Obama or any other liberal. He appears to reserve his criticism for Republicans, always. It makes me very upset. In fact, much more than that. Right now, spitting nails might be more like it.
