Contrary to popular belief, I have found that working for a male boss is sometimes easier than working for a woman.  I have experienced both, and men are some times more sympathetic/understanding. However, we should first hear what this lady is basing that decision on, and then take it from there.  For instance, if she sees that the company is losing money because of the work-at-home status, then she has a legitimate reason for her decision.
