Had a Republican said this, he/she would have been called a racist and his/her career path been placed in jeopardy.  Just another way we see the double standard.  Where is the media "outrage" on that statement? Why should he get by with just a "I simply misspoke"? He said what he meant and he meant what he said.  Senator Reid, II Corinthians 10:12 says that "comparing ourselves among ourselves is not wise".  The Bible says what it means, too.  You don't compare the storms, or the victims of those storms.

Both storms are tragedies, both have impacted people's lives in ways most of us cannot fathom, and both storms have cost lives and billions of dollars.  No comparisons, please.  How about just prayer and compassion for those in need whose lives have been inexplicably touched by a tragedy.
