The lesson is that we are living in a far different world than that of our parents and grandparents, one that requires adjustment in our thinking.  There is no privacy and no real security even when strong measures are taken.  The nation Israel has been a target  over the centuries, both in Biblical times and especially today which means they need to take every precaution necessary for protection.  Unfortunately, so do all of us in this world where evil abounds.  After that, all we can do is hope.
