Once again I disagree with McCain.  While the military did depose the democratically elected Morsi, the military is not trying to rule by force. This is not what you would call a traditional Coup.  The military are attempting to make it possible for the people to take back a country that was hijacked by the Muslim brotherhood. The people of Egypt want a democracy and Morsi was taking them back to religious rule.  I say, parcel out the money carefully until an election can be held.  We should allow time for democracy minded people to form coalitions and organize a campaign.  The last election was held too fast and the freedom loving Egyptians did not have a chance to organize and negotiate a viable candidate who could lead this diverse country.  The Egyptians are intelligent and the youth are looking toward a modern future with opportunities such as they have learned are available in the rest of the educated world. I would hope that this democracy would allow freedom of religion for the Christians who are currently persecuted.  If we do not see this happening in a reasonable timeline then we can reconfigure the foreign aid as would be appropriate.
