Are we surprised at anything this president does?  My dear uncle was at that Normandy invasion, and it is highly disrespectful for the leader of the free world to avoid a public display of gratitude for those brave men who died/served to liberate that country and go on to save the world from an evil takeover.  Those men paid for his freedom too, and I doubt seriously if Hitler and those to follow him would have allowed anything but a blue-eyed/fair-haired person to rule in any way as he thought Germans were superior.
