Kentucky is considered in the southeast, and I would certainly add my state to that list. In fact, we have lost lots of jobs this past year. For us, a part of that reason is a stale government that has failed to attract new businesses by providing a business-friendly climate. In addition, Obama is determined to destroy the coal industry, a large provider of jobs in the eastern counties of the state. Without doing research, my guess is that other counties are losing out because of a decrease in manufacturing caused in part by EPA regulations. When businesses move out, crime moves in and forces others out to other places.
The areas that are gaining are more business friendly, offer lower taxes and a higher standard of living. And, it is very interesting to see that many are being led by Republican Governors. Is that a coincidence, or does it tell us something?????
