The economy shrank because so many people are unemployed or underemployed. The unemployment numbers have never been as optimistic as the reports show. Too many have left the work force and are no longer counted so the numbers have not reflected the actual numbers of people who are not working. Of course, President Obama and the Democrats will blame George Bush and the Republicans. I'm sure one of the reasons will be that Republicans just aren't allowing Democrats and Obama to spend more money in order to stimulate the economy. These folks are like a bunch of frat boys on Spring Break. They are drunk with their own sense of importance. Somebody needs to take away the punch bowl. They've had way too much.
