One of the "few" things the federal government should be doing is protecting our borders and strictly monitoring all who come to our country.  They have failed at both, and I predict that this too will be a failure.  This whole immigration debate has become a political issue when it should be simply a matter of law.  Sadly, the Republicans have caved in order to win votes, causing many of us to be sorely disappointed.
