In order to address the issue of gun safety and violent crime, Vice President Biden should appoint a committee -- a bipartisan committee including everyone from governors to constitutional lawyers down to local law enforcement.  There needs to be a holistic view on the issue of guns.  Most reasonable people believe guns should have a proper application process, adequate training, limits on on high magazine ammunition and enforcement on illegal weapons.

I do not deny the hunter with a rifle or the woman who carries a concealed pistol to protect herself.

But, a conversation needs to happen and it would behoove the Vice President to not throw out the members of the GOP who wish to encourage change.
