There must be compromise from both Israeli and Palestinian leadership.  The only true long term solution is a two-state existence.  This is extremely difficult given the Iranian presence, but I believe the young people of these nations must be willing to show older leadership the only future is two states.

The opening ceremonies are an expression of history and art and sports.  I thought they were wonderful and am always amazed that cities want to take on such an endeavor as hosting an event so large.   I wish American journalists would remember they are guests in another country at an invitation only sporting event.

President Obama has forgotten that reasonable people — even ones who disagree with him — like a leader who LEADS.  People on both sides like gravitas in their leaders.  I am not sure the President admitting he smoked pot and getting “in the weeds” on certain issues is the best use of his time.

The blame is misguided.   If someone had tapped into the President of the United States’ phone, I would start to ask my own team about the security.  I would stop asking the rest of the world to STOP and my own team to START protecting the country better.
