Discerning eyes should be on former governor Romney's beliefs not on fundraiser attendees. To win the White House, former Governor Romney must raise money to bring his message to the independent voter at play in this critical election. President Obama's campaign recently reached a billion dollars in donations through fundraisers like that of the People's Sexiest Man Alive, George Clooney. Incidentally, upon Clooney's last visit to Washington he was arrested for protesting. Does this mean the president is a promoter of public discord and disruption? Simply, no. A politician's decision to attend an event is to spread his own message in hopes of securing votes and support from those in attendance. Attending an event has never meant an endorsement of the individuals or group.
If campaigns had to vet each individual that attended a campaign event we would be left with scant attendance and campaign fundraising would be a completely different game. In the end though will Trump's presence have a negative impact on Romney's election campaign...no, as with life, what happens in Vegas will stay in Vegas.
