Bullet-proof white boards?  A shield for students? I say hire armed guards with bullet-proof vests and guns at every school.  And, get a few of the teachers to do the same.  Not the guns that are bad; it is the bad people who use them.  We must protect ourselves and our children.

I suppose a white board is better than nothing. I would prefer to have someone with a weapon to stop the criminals before they can advance toward the white board and shoot behind it. This method is still a defensive position and the aggressor, with a weapon, is still going to have the upper hand.…

Excellent idea. They can't stop a gunman, but they can take effective cover. Schools need armed personnel.

It's so sad that it has come to this.  My uncle was a judge on a US Circuit Court of Appeals and he once said to me, "They've taken prayer out of the schools and put in metal detectors."

It won't change what happened, but it might make some one  less afraid.

I  must have missed something.  I did not know this was out  there.  What would  bullet proof white boards do?  Someone help me understand.
