We are thankful for the blessing bestowed upon this nation through the leadership of Gen Schwarzkopf. He will be missed. With regard to the second part, Petraeus first rose to authority during Bush...so I'll just stick to the above statement

I am not sure this says anything particular about the current administration.  It does, however, speak to the overall human condition as we have digressed from gold to clay.  When God is removed from a culture, as He has been in America, then what more can we expect?

Petraeus is a great military mind as well. He is also human. He honorably stepped down to tell the truth and not cave to Obama's extortion.
