It appears that Senator Rand Paul and Senator Marco Rubio, Tea Party favorites, are the front runners with the CPAC voters. Rand Paul probably had an edge because of the publicity he received from his 13-hour filibuster. I was pleased to see Rick Santorum come in third.  Too early to speculate much more.  I would recommend watching the CPAC…

My vote would go for Santorum.

My preference is Marco Rubio but I'd be good with Rand Paul. I believe all of the options in the straw poll were good options but Rand and Marco are our 2 conservative front-runners.

The GOP is ready for a changing of the guard. The base must unite to have a candidate that represents us and not the D.C. establishment. These bold, fresh leaders represent that change!

I'd say Rand is still enjoying conservative kudos for his 13-hour history lesson in our founding principles.  Rightly so, I suppose. It was also a bit predictable that he would win the straw poll because of the effective and energetic "Paul Machine" at these sorts of conferences.  But I think Rubio would be the stronger…

I'm pleased-but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to early to be making predictions-Figure Rand was popular due to his filibuster.  I wish Dr. Ben Carson had been in on the straw poll!!
