Virtually no election effect. Southwestern Virginia was not going to vote for McAuliffe anyway, for the most part, as I am sure he is aware.  He says to them he does not care about them, their families and their livelihoods.

VA has two civilizations. Northern VA is eaten up with Beltway liberals who will probably be overjoyed. The rest of the state is composed of normal conservative folks who won't be so taken with this liberal theology. Who wins this race will be determined by how many conservatives go to the polls.
