Our judicial and school board candidates are permitted to cross file so it is not an issue in Pennsylvania. I honestly don't see how making these elected offices non-partisan makes a difference. Rather, it should be those of us at the grassroots level running or encouraging/helping others run.

Non-partisan elections only allow people to hide where they truly stand. Since Democrats can't win in Republican strongholds, and vice-versa, their only hope is to hide their party affiliation and try to convince people they are conservative or otherwise. This happening in Greenville would only be supported by Democrats and people that vote like Democrats.
