You know, I wish the Republicans had packed up and gone home the other day and just said, "You Democrats are in control."  Let the Democrats shoulder ALL of the blame for this "Road to Greece" that Obama and his liberal friends are driving us down.

The agreement had to be reached to avert the “cliff” but we now must work for tax reform and get some of the problems solved instead of waiting until the last minute every year.

The Republicans were in a lose/ lose situation whichever way they went. If they let the tax cuts expire and everyone’s taxes increased, it would have been far worse. They really had no choice other than to hold their noses and vote for the terrible bill that they were handed. I hope they’re strong enough…

I fail to see the reasoning behind all this.  Why in the world would anyone deliberately decrease the usable income of a family when the economy is in the state it is???  My son just took a five percent cut in pay, as did everyone in the governmental entity he works for.  Now he's going…

This is what America voted for. I predict no matter how many Americans see these tax increases, Obama will still blame it on the Republicans and Obama's followers will believe the lies.

We have a spending problem. 72 per cent of budget is entitlements, that doesn't include Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid which are theoretically self-sustaining. Why does our government issue 81 million checks per month in entitlements? Who is actually working now?

I'm glad the Social Security payroll tax cut was allowed to expire.  I disagreed when they did it.  It was a gimmick. It was like a cut to a retirement savings account. "Real people" in need who actually worked for a living, benefit from it. There is so MUCH fat to cut...like Obama's loser green energy "investments"…

We all knew this.  It's who he is.  It's what he does.  But somehow, he got elected anyway.

All these taxes are going to destroy our economy, unfortunately, it may be the only way people will wake up and realize this is who/what they elected.  By Friday, most workers will see a smaller paycheck.  And when the Obamacare taxes hit them but the medical care doesn't start for another year, everyone will realize…

I have had just about enough of these legislators and especially the 80+ Republicans who just gave liberals everything they wanted. Nothing was negotiated. We gave away the farm...and paid them to take it. I hope those who re-elected these big spenders get to pay more like those of us are already paying enough.
