Not a productive way to make a protest.

An ill-conceived idea to use children as pawns in protest of Common Core; it allows the focus of the debate to be shifted. My grandchildren will be in school that day. Thank goodness their parents are possessed of what seems to be a rare trait these days, common sense.

Sounds like a good idea.  We need to be doing all we can to stop Common Core.  While we all agree our children need a good education federalizing it is not the answer.  Improvements need to be at the local and state levels.

This is great. Kids will still be educated, but about defending freedom through protest. It seems this will be a skill we need to teach.
