Regarding Chris Christie winning re-election. Two different things. He has proven with his first term he can serve the citizens of NJ they way they like. He has proven he can work with both sides. Ken Cuccinelli was not an incumbent and he was outspent, what 75 - 1 or something? AND he had a Democrat funded libertarian candidate pulling votes away that he would have gotten, and would have won. It was the women's vote that cost Ken the election with a 20 pt spread, so the take away for the GOP should be to do all they can to bring women in to the party by toning down the mantra of family and pro-life. Not every woman is married and the single women (I am one) do have it harder than married women. The social issues are killing us and our party needs to stop coming across so judgmental and trying to force values on others. Let people live and choose based on their own consciences. We need to improve our messaging to focus on fiscal issues and solutions that work. By the way, the shut-down strategy was ill-conceived and hurt us, just as I knew it would.
