Why did I embrace the celebration over the birth of the Royal Baby? I did so because I am worn out over one lousy news story after another. It's hot here in Texas and every time I switch over to a news program I see nothing but race baiting, stories or we-need-to-arm-Syria stories, or NSA leaks stories, or the IRS story goes up to Obama appointee, or Benghazi survivors are being silenced, or Obama is making another meaningless speech to change the narrative, or we have a jobless recovery, or it's the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression, and on and on.
Here is a fairy tale kind of story. We Americans have no royal family so the watching of this fairy tale is a fun distraction from real life. He will be the King of England one day. My ancestors, on my mother's side of the family, came from England - some on the Mayflower. I admit to being an Anglophile. Deal with it.
Here is a young couple who did it all right. They met in school, got engaged, got married, and then started their family. He serves his country in the military. He'll be King of England before his son.
What is not to like? People need to stop taking themselves so seriously!! He's a sweet baby. Roll with it.
