The hype is ridiculous and if only the same amount of attention was given to the details of the horrendous amnesty bill, then maybe it wouldn't have passed.  The Paula Deen saga does seem to be overkill and a lot of hypocrisy in our world of political correctness.  Although, I never used the "word" and I am a 60 year old white woman who grew up in the South, so I'm tired of hearing that angle.  Her reaction with the series of interviews and videos have not helped her in my opinion.
