Absolutely the Speaker should show leadership and convene a panel to look into this further. Congress does have oversight and because questions remain about what happened before, during and after in Benghazi and will continue to overshadow this President.
Today, Jay Carney, Obama's "spokesmodel" insulted the American people and the families who lost loved ones by saying (I am paraphrasing) that Benghazi "happened a long time ago."
The minimizing of this horrible assault which took place on such a significant date is indicative of how ill-prepared this President was/is to be Commander-in-Chief of this country.
Moreover as Breitbart's recent report notes that Obama has either played golf or vacationed (through March13, 2013 ) over 976 hours and has only spent 474 hours in economic meetings.
I wonder during that night while the massacre at Benghazi unfolded and the President was notably absent from the "situation room" if he wasn't perhaps preparing for an economic meeting or something else that was pressing. Oh yes, that's right he was preparing to go to a Vegas fundraiser the next day.
