Yes, some Planned Parenthood facilities perform abortions.  Not all do, however, and the vast majority of services performed by the agency pertain to wellness examinations and annual tests, birth control distribution, and the like.  The majority of clients do not go there for abortions, they go there for low cost exams.  For women without health care insurance or living in areas with a shortage of healthcare providers, Planned Parenthood fills the void.
