I am going to try to write with as much discretion as I can manage, but censor me, if necessary, because I just listened to a soft porn radio podcast from the Young Turks, March 13th episode and it gave me insight into how schizophrenic representatives of the hip media are. (But I hope she'll leave it up for 24 hours.) Why does this matter?  I think it does because liberals all want to be hip, so the edgiest of them drive the culture. Frankly, I normally would not have listened to soft porn, but sometimes, when I wake up at 3 AM, I find that NPR or The Economist will put me right to sleep. Recently I found some new podcasts (I am pretty new to this free media) and added them to my list. I'd never actually listened to the YTs  before but woke up with these idiots talking about how some cultures call out deviants and shame them and may go so far as to murder in order to control the sexuality of their populations - I was still mostly asleep so I'm not sure who they were talking about but their voices were dripping with disgust when they used the word "shame."  Then they played a very reasonable clip from a Christian talking about why kinky sex is more likely to give you AIDS than normal sex which he defined as sex between a man and a woman after marriage. They then call him our and shame him!!!!  And from there they go on to talk about Catholic girls and Evangelicals who, they say, engage in sodomy in order to stay pure until marriage. From there they went on the agonize over whether a couple who were engaging in kinky consensual sex with which the girl was uncomfortable. They examined the degree of consent necessary in a relationship and how to make sure full consent is granted at all stages, yadayadayada - great advertisement for man-woman-marriage then sex as the best route to stress-free sexual happiness.
