I agree that the Debate Commission made a mistake picking Candy Crowley.  She was a big mistake , not because she was a woman but because she was totally biased toward Mr. Obama!  She had no right to side with Obama when he made a false remark about the attack on Sept .11 , 2012 and was it a terrorist attack. As a journalist her job was to just ask the questions and keep the debaters on time, not to side with one of the debaters.  But so many  journalists today follow the Pravda philosophy!
