Without being an expert on economic policy or really being informed on monetary policy, the idea of minting/inventing any amount of money just to avoid paying our debt is absurd.  The answer is to stop spending money we don’t have, to reduce nonessential, i.e. anything but defense and essential infrastructure.  Stop trying to get around the problem and do what has to be done.  We will lose our country if we don’t.
