Laura Rambeau Lee(1)Over thirty states have passed laws or amendments to their constitutions which restrict marriage to be between one man and one woman.  The Oklahoma amendment passed in 2004 with seventy five percent voting in favor of the referendum.  The radical left has been successful in asserting that equal rights under the Constitution of the United States means their marriages to same sex partners must be permitted.  Activist judges presiding over the federal courts continue to capitulate on this issue in spite of overwhelming opposition by the citizens of the states.  I personally believe same sex couples should be able to enter into a legal civil union which recognizes their partnership and gives them the protections of a married couple.  However, I do not like the idea of “undefining” the meaning we have come to understand when we speak of marriage.  Once this definition has been opened to interpretation, progressives will seek to push the envelope to re-define marriage to include other forms of relationships. We must realize this is all an attempt to undermine the traditional and religious values upon which our society has been built in an effort to destroy it.  The progressives ultimate goal is a communist America and unless we can return to our traditional values and Judeo-Christian culture they will succeed.
