Growing up in Chicago as an only child had its advantages but never more than at Christmas. My memories of our Christmas celebrations are filled with warmth and love. We had many shared Christmas traditions but my favorite was a walk down State Street to view the enchanting window displays. Even though we were completely bundled up to brace ourselves against the chill in the air, nothing could dampen our excitement. Festive decorations and Christmas lights were just a prelude to memories spent together celebrating our Lord's birth in church and around the dinner table that would last a lifetime.Barracuda Brigade:
