Laura Rambeau Lee(1) I did a little research on this story and this seems to be the result of demands on the city from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to upgrade its utility system in order to meet quality standards set by the commission.  In order for the city to meet these demands it had to raise its rates for water usage.  The school and the city agreed to a price of $6.00 per person in November of 2012, but the commission later changed it to $14.00.  The school has been paying the $6.00 surcharge per each student and staff, but the commission says the school is $58,000.00 in arrears and turned to water off.  They need some real leaders to get together and settle this for the sake of the students.
