Laura Rambeau Lee(1)It was illegal to take our tax money to bail out a corporation and I believe there was never a plan to reimburse us for our generous “donation” to save General Motors.   This bailout deal turned our creditor and financial laws upside down by usurping primary lien holder interests over other interests.  The union was given a percentage of ownership of General Motors while its creditors and investors were essentially ignored.  I still do not understand how they were permitted to do this.  I still believe GM should have declared bankruptcy so they could reorganize and re-negotiate their contracts with the creditors and the union.
