I really don’t know how anyone could vote for McAuliffe in Virginia. He is a progressive ideologue who is bent on destroying the coal industry, a big economic driver in the state. But he has a lot of money behind him, along with the support of the Clintons, Vice President Biden, and a lot of progressive Republicans. The lack of Republican support behind Ken Cuccinelli will cost them, and I believe McAuliffe will become the next governor of Virginia.
In New Jersey, Chris Christie will win re-election. He has played both sides very well and his appearance with President Obama during the 2012 presidential election in the aftermath of Sandy will help throw enough Democratic votes his way to an easy second term win. He may be a fiscal conservative, but he has not adhered to traditional Republican values, the latest caving on traditional marriage in support of same sex marriages. He is a shrewd politician.
True conservatives are going to have to work extremely hard to keep control of the House in 2014 and if they want to gain control of the Senate. The rollout of the Affordable Care Act and the daily updates on the computer glitches, millions of people being dropped from the coverage they were promised they could keep if they liked it…PERIOD…, and the attempts by President Obama to rationalize and justify his continuing support of his landmark legislation, could very well turn the people against President Obama and all who support him. But we need the Republicans to play it smart and come out strong against all of the lies and scandals coming out of the administration. It is no time to be meek and gentlemanly. Governor Romney might have won the 2012 presidential election if he has pushed hard against President Obama when it came to the Fast and Furious and Benghazi scandals, to name just a couple of issues he could have used to show what kind of administration was running our country.
We had better be up to the fight! The future of America is at stake.
