Laura Rambeau Lee(1)Our government must stop spending taxpayer money on green energy and clean energy projects.  Research has shown that these forms of energy, such as solar, and wind, cost up to five times what it costs for the same energy produced by natural gas or coal.  They are also much less reliable.  The green clean renewable energy ideologues have brought not only the United States but developed nations across the globe to their knees embracing renewable energy technology and sources to provide energy to their citizens.  They, along with the United States, committed to using increasing percentages of renewable energy sources to provide electricity, causing the average cost of electricity to skyrocket, one of the promises President Obama made during his presidential campaign in 2008.  People must be aware this started before the current administration, when the U. S. signed on to these commitments at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in March of 1994.  We must remove the United States from the UNFCCC commitments, stop all attempts at cap and trade legislation, reduce the onerous regulations on coal plants and utility companies, and stop stealing taxpayer money to fund these green projects.  If a private company wants to invest its own capital in developing renewable energy technology we should encourage it, but not if it cannot support itself without taxpayer dollars.  The fact that now the taxpayer is left to pay for the cleanup adds insult to injury.  Why are they making American taxpayers pay for this clean up?  Why are we not seeing people going to jail for these violations of EPA regulations?  Ordinary citizens would face hefty fines and possible imprisonment for lesser violations.  Why won’t Congress put a stop to these wasteful expenditures of our money?  This is confiscatory theft and wealth redistribution.
