Rebecca DiserioThis "conversation" about the GOP, and its "image" is a long overdue one.  Many Conservatives are reflecting on what seems to be the fracture of the GOP into 2 camps.  Of course, the GOP as the Democrats, huge parties with varying members, have different "camps" leaning from right to left.  The "problem" with the GOP is it seems to be "cannibalizing" the base, (the GOP elites, some call them) who want to force those Conservatives with strong passions for certain issues to "submit" and in some instances "just go away".  Bobby Jindal, I believe, sees some of these problems, and wants to build an image that may appeal to those voters who are viewing the GOP as the "problem party".  My personal belief is the party needs to recognize its image problems are coming from "within" and from "within" those who have big influence need to know until we can find common ground between the conservative wing and the moderate wing of the party, until they realize "they" need the "base", we will continue to look like a half caffe soy latte, instead of a "venti size 4 shots of expresso, latte, with breve".  (translation, from a weak politically correct coffee, to a strong, bold, high energy coffee, with politically incorrect "real cream").
