The problem the House Republicans have is the usual 'darned if we do: darned if we don't' 😉
If we push to shutdown the government over Obamacare, the MSM will only work to thwart any Republican effort of messaging why and make them all out to be thugs who only want to harm the middle class.  This is effective because between the education system and what passes for journalism today, the nations electorate has been systematically dumbed down to accept anything that comes out of the mouths of those on the national broadcast channels as actual, factual news . . .
On the other hand, to only delay Obamacare, which many parts have already been done so by the President himself, will really get the ire up of the conservative base who sent their representatives to get rid of the law, defund it and if it means shutting down the government, so be it.
Unfortunately, I think the problem we face is a lack of leadership.  There are Republicans in Congress who are not listening to their own constituents, let alone look like they are working together as a unified party.  This hurts us even more.
Both arguments to defund or delay are being played out as if the sides are on opposite sides of the isle.
I think the leadership is missing a huge opportunity to unite the GOP caucus under one strategy and not try to accomplish this based on something we don't have right now:  Leverage.  Because at the moment, we don't have win-win message.  It looks like lose-lose.
