When I see leadership potential in a young woman, I will invite her to have coffee or lunch and find out what her goals are and offer my support. It is important to be an encourager and also be available when asked for help. I invite her to various meetings and help her make connections with other women leaders. I believe it's important to get young women involved at the grassroots level by getting them to volunteer on campaigns. Many women have the leadership skills, but fail to see it within themselves. Sometimes all it takes is a word of encouragement and a hand up to help a young woman realize she can and should be a leader.
