There is a saying that we get the government we deserve. Although the politics of New York sometimes leave us in 'fly-over-country' scratching our heads, do the people of NYC have their collective heads in the sand? It just baffles me -- and probably many of you, how thoughtful, rational, respectful people could even THINK about electing to such a prominent office, someone who puts on for public display, in more ways than one (!) such a deviant behavior!!
As someone who goes to New York as often as I can, I cannot even fathom what the city might become if it is subjected to someone who displays such bad form when making decisions of what is good - or bad- behavior becoming of an elected and trusted servant of the public.
So as you can tell by this post, yes I think he should withdraw as a matter of principle, good form, and if he hopes to ever hold a public office at some point in the very, very distant future.
Now for the wife's comments today . . . . .
