Congresswoman Blackburn introduced a very important piece of legislation. It is not a surprise Louise Slaughter made the same uninformed comment most Democrats give to this important issue for women. If a woman really needs to have an abortion they would still have plenty of time in the first 19 weeks, if necessary. Of course women should take responsibility and think about their actions before they become pregnant. A lot of young women today are using abortion as a means of birth control with no regard to human life.

I find it somewhat ironic when Louise Slaughter comments that women should not leave their "health policy to these men in blue suits and red ties"? I think there are plenty of Democrats wearing blue suits & wearing red ties or blue ties in congress and the Democrat women in congress all followed "these men in suits & ties" and got in line when the House Democrats voted on strict party lines to approve Obama Care, a piece of legislation that will be much more harmful to women's health care issues, especially for older women, than the very thoughtful and important bill introduced by Congresswoman Blackburn and House Republicans.

I think next time Ms. Slaughter should at least give an informed comment on why she is opposed to a piece of legislation.
