U of Dallas graduate, John Eastman, like U of Dallas Ph.D., Rob Jeffrey, was at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in the 80's. He went on to law school at the U of Chicago and later ran for office. He is Professor of Law at Chapman University where he has served as Dean. He is a brilliant and principled Conservative of the best sort and the Obama regime will regret targeting him. Going after John Eastman? I can only conclude that one of the following is true: only low level know nothing staffers were involved in the targeting of conservative groups, or the Obama administration is heading the stupidest people ever to work for a President of the United States of America. When I taught political science in the 90's, no one with a GPA under 3.6 could get an interview to work for the Federal Government. Those folks would be middle-management by now, maybe in Cincinnati, are probably smart enough to avoid stepping into the hornet's nest they stirred up when they put NOM on their list of organizations to investigate. But the very top man in the Obama Administration has not revealed his grade point average. Probably he doesn't think such things are important. Therefore, I am going with the second choice - top level people authorized this.
