With that position, Eric Holder has just played the sympathy card and therefore does not need to uphold the law. Who doesn't care about human rights??? It is not just the dominion of the Democratic Party!
Overlooking laws to suit their political agenda is the hallmark of the Obama Administration as seen in several examples including the Black Panther case in 2008 and the decision to go after Pennsylvania's law requiring voter identification( this state is not one of those required under section 5 of the voting rights act of 1965 to run by any changes to state voting laws with the Justice Department) yet the Obama Justice Department saw fit to do so.
Currently I have people on my caseload who are here illegally- either overstaying Visas or who managed to cross the border under difficult conditions leaving countries- I have a lot of sympathy for what these amazingly strong and determined people went through in order to have a better life for their families and themselves.
Having said that, we are and should be a nation of laws. Without laws, we have chaos. If the person heading our Justice Department does not see fit to enforce the laws our Congress has passed, then one can only deduce that he sees himself as above the law and therefore, in my humble opinion, should not be serving in his current capacity as the US Attorney General.
