I am the first to admit that the Republican Party has an image problem, I also believe our image was GIVEN to us and not earned. As the Oklahoma State Vice Chair, a member of the OK Federation of Republican Women and a founding member of the OK Diversity Coalition, the GOP has reached out to women to include them at every level of party office. Our own Republican National Committee Rules require each state to elect 1 man and 1 woman to represent the state on the Committee along with the State Chairman.
At our 2012 National Convention in Tampa, the GOP had more women and minority speakers than did the Democrat Party. But we allow ourselves to be defined by the democrats and media as the party of "old white men."
I look forward to reaching out to more women, more Latinos, more Asians, more US citizens that are NOT "old white men." And, I look forward to Chairman Priebus spreading the word of the Republican Diversity Coalition!
Don't forget, WE are the Party of Lincoln, the Party of the "Nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal."
