Politics, cynical, old-fashioned, politics. BTW, if Mr. Obama thinks this is a stupid way to cut the budget, why did he propose it? It is, of course, not the best way, a stupid way, but it is not as stupid as not cutting anything and instead continuing to spend more and more and more.

Listening to the spenders scream "We can't. we can't - if we do life as we know it will end," shows that the people who are doing the spending are addicted and will never stop on their own.

The American people are going to have to put their big people pants on, be the adults, and send grown ups to Washington. The era of big government was pronounced "over" by Bill Clinton - and that allowed Americans to trust Democrats again. But until the Party goes through some kind of rehab, including a good basic course in economics, they cannot be trusted with power.

There is not an economist in the country who doesn't know that raising the minimum wage will raise the unemployment rate for the least educated and least skilled. We have to stop these people from destroying America - this is no game!
