Interesting question. The Artesia Training facility is used to trained SU Border Patrol Agents. I believe the real picture is that they are concerned about the following three things: (1) money - it is cheaper to buy in bulk (2) shortages - as a training agency I am sure they are as concerned as the general population regarding ammo shortages and (3) future funding - the budget is still in limbo/spending is still being discussed. This years budget appropriations are not finished. I would think, like any smart agency, they have taken all these "issues" into consideration. I truly think this is a big "nothing" but understand that people will jump to conclusions based on the way the current administration has responded to current events. However, there are those that can't/ won't let facts stand in the way of a good "conspiracy" story.
