While I understand the concern about the stability of the US dollar, when the states ratified the Constitution they agreed that the coining of money would be the responsibility of the federal government under the duties of the legislature (Article 1, Section 8).  It would be difficult for the states to conduct business with each other, which is why a national currency was implemented.  These valid concerns over the currency should be addressed within the legislature.  They should pursue an audit of the federal reserve and seek ways to return to the gold standard for the entire currency of the United States of America.
